Founded in the mid 1950’s by the Hurel family as an international road haulage company, Michel Hurel Transport (MHT) has evolved over the years to become an international project logistics and freight forwarding company.
In 1992 MHT was the subject of a management buy-out (MBO) by one of its directors at the time, Mr Bertrand Hallo, and has since been taken over by the Hallo family.
The company is known for its innovative, reactive and cost effective approach. This has been developed by working in close partnership with our customers, helping us to offer a quality service while being real value for money. We provide a full range of services and can create a logistics plan to suit individual business needs.
Our professional experience of the market place combined with our ability to provide door to door services and competitive prices make us the clear logistics choice for businesses.
We believe that communication is an important factor in managing a successful logistics routing and we have systems in place to keep our customers informed at every stage. From our head office in Oxford, in the UK, where our management team is based we oversee all the operational needs of each of our clients where an account manager is individually assigned and available to be contacted at all times.
We provide a bespoke tracking system that is designed to meet the specific requirements of each customer which means we can give our customers accurate, up to date information.
To stay at the forefront of new market developments we are continuously improving the quality of our customer service.

After a rich 10 year experience with CROWN Holdings where he held various project, audit and finance positions around the globe, Basile joined the family business in October 2007 and hopes to help the company continue its growth as an established global freight forwarder.

Born in Marseille, brought up in England, Basile lives in Oxford with his wife and 2 young children. He is fluent in Spanish and enjoys travelling and listening to his record collection.

Alistair Beveridge

Having studied Business Economics with French at Anglia University, Alistair worked for a year as a sales manager for a mobile phone company, before joining Michel Hurel Transport in 1999. Having worked in operations and rising to Operations Manager, in September 2007 he was appointed as a Director.

Alistair is married and lives in Abingdon. Fluent in French, he is a keen skier, enjoys playing squash and cooking.
